Why frogs are important for our ecosystem and how we can save this species for healthy ecosystem?
Shehnila Kanwal, PMAS Arid Agriculture University
Frogs are among the most sensitive indicators of a healthy environment, and they are disappearing faster than almost any other group of animals. Join us to learn why frogs matter, what threatens them, and how each of us can protect them and the ponds, wetlands and clean water they depend on.
This session is open to adults and families from the whole community, and we are working for balanced participation of women and men. We will discuss how frogs keep ecosystems in balance, what threatens them (pollution, pesticides, habitat loss and climate change), and the practical steps people can take. We then walk to a nearby pond to see how pollution affects water quality and frog survival.
