To mark the 17th Annual Save The Frogs Day, SAVE THE FROGS! India collaborated with Aranyakam Nature Foundation, EDGE, Thavala Trails, and CPAUP School Thiruvizhamkunnu to conduct a vibrant and interactive event on April 27, 2025. Fifty enthusiastic young participants, aged between 5 and 8 years, gathered at CPAUP School for a memorable educational experience focused on amphibian conservation.

The program commenced with an engaging orientation session led by Dr. Sandeep Das. His talk introduced children to fascinating frog facts, their ecological importance, threats they face, and the urgent need for their conservation, and kindled curiosity in the young minds.

Stories, origami and coloring

To spark imagination and creativity, a storyteller captivated the audience with frog-themed stories, encouraging children to think deeply and creatively about frogs and their world. This was followed by a hands-on origami session where children enthusiastically crafted paper frogs using colourful origami paper.

A colouring session added more excitement as children received outlined frog drawings along with art supplies. Three of the best colouring entries were awarded trophies and certificates of appreciation.

Every participant received a certificate of participation and printed educational materials about frogs and their conservation. The event concluded on a cheerful note with light refreshments for all attendees.

The program successfully combined fun with learning, leaving the children with a deeper understanding and appreciation of frogs and the importance of saving them. Events like these play a crucial role in shaping future nature guardians.
