On April 28, 2025, 57 students at Somaiya Vidya Mandir School celebrated Save The Frogs Day with SAVE THE FROGS! India.
Orientation: Frog Facts
The orientation session was led by Shibajee Mitra, D.P. Srivastava and Sonal Jhawar. The main focus was engaging the students and telling them about frogs through stories.
Activities
- Frog headgear making and painting
- Frog painting
- Storytelling on frogs
- A documentary screening on frogs
Three batches of students were each given a different task (headgear making, frog hopping and frog painting) and judged on their performance.
Judging
Judging was done by Sonal Jhawar (Principal), Anuj Sharma (Director, Somaiya Group), Shibajee Mitra (Secretary, BRCS) and D.P. Srivastava (Naturalist and Head, TINSA Ecological Foundation).
